The seashore of the peninsula of Sinis-Island of Mal di Ventre comprises about 15 km of beaches set between rocks emerging from the sea. They look like white and ever-changing stretches of coast which take on different nuances of colour as seansons change.
Is Arutas beach, composed of small grains of white quartz, in certainly one of the most beautiful beaches one can find in the territory of Sinis. The beach of San Giovanni, which stretches in front of the striking scenario formed by the Catalan tower and Tharros’ ruins, boasts crystal clear water and fine sand. Maimoni and Mari Ermi are also very beautiful beaches, although it can be said that every part of Cabras’ coastal would be worth a visit.
Moreover, Sinis’ seashore is a kind of earthy paradise for surfers, who are attracted by the large and high waves which agitate the sea during winter. The beauty of the underwater world must also be pointed out for the countless species of fish one can admire in both sandy and rocky transparent sea-beds.
